A Heart for Worship!
Children 4-yrs through 5th
graders who attend the 9:00 Traditional Service are
dismissed to the basement approximately half-way through the service
by a slide on the big screen, "Children are dismissed for Children's
Church at this time." Children who attend this Children's
Church will receive a snack and participate in a Bible
lesson.
First Baptist uses an exciting,
age-appropriate worship program for children druing the
11:00 Contemporary Service, called Kids Own Worship
(KOW). KOW integrates music, games, and other
activities that build on the lesson taught in Sunday School.
In addition, the 2s & 3s and 4s & Kindergartners are
paid a special visit by Theophilus, a canine puppet, each
week. Children's Church lasts the entire service for all
ages during the 11:00 Contemporary Service, however, children in
1st-5th grades have the option of attending worship with their
parents in the adult service, and then coming to the lower level
when they are dismissed, OR, they may attend the children's service
in the lower level for the entire length of the service.
Nursery Care is available at
all services.
